When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going!
Returning to dance after a two month break, (March & April 2020) due to the Covid-19 pandemic, wasn’t easy. After all, we were all ready to compete two months prior. But, we do not give up easily here at The Dance Academy in Lehi, Utah. We decided to dig deep, keep pushing hard, clean and clean some more.
The competitions we attended in June of 2020 were of course, unlike anything we had ever been to. We had to mask up before and after all performances and all of our routines had to be performed in a two hour time slot. Our dancers got so tired, but they had such good attitudes and kept on performing.
Awards had to be watched via Zoom. So we gathered together at The Dance Academy studio and after all the awards were announced, they had the biggest award of the day still to announce. This was not an easy competition. Many amazing studios attended. We admire all of the awesome studios, dancers and directors that attended.
Guess what? WE WON! High Point Overall Studio 2020! Congrats to all of The Dance Academy dancers, we are so proud of all of you!
Everything will work out in the end. We don’t always need to know how. Sometimes we have to trust that it will, and never let a bad situation like COVID-19, bring out the worst in us. Be strong and choose to be positive. Don’t ever give up!
